If she's got the Asurion insurance, she could get one over-night-ed to her for the replacement fee of $89.00.  Without insurance, depending on the age of the phone, and with the right sob story, she probably could get a VZW store to do the same as long as neither of the water mark stickers in the battery bay have been triggered.

$50.00 is the replacement fee, so I'm not really surprised there.  If they do offer to replace it, it's better than a) a larger fee, b) no replacement at all, c) paying retail to replace.

i thought that they get rid of the old phones when the new ones come in but it seems like they just keep the old ones in the back.

Oh yes.. They don't just keep them in the back, they  send them off to this warehouse that puts a shiny and somewhat transparent sticker on the phone that says "Certified Like New".

I think it's just a load of crock if ya ask me..

But then again everybody complains when there phone starts messin up..

I remember back when there was only a land-line to depend on.

Oh well, quityerbitchin..
