or know a program (preferably a free download for macs) that could pull the audio off a video file so i could chop it up into message alerts...

like i've been looking for some of the old katt williams stand ups or classic chappelle show sound bits that i could play with in audacity... i've been playing with everything in mp3 format but if anyone has any tips i'd definitely be interested... thnx guys, NOOB hahah

There is a free program called Free Video Converter that has an option to just extract the audio from a video file. see attached pic  (By the way, it is a great tool to have to convert videos to play on your Touch) However, I do not know, nor could I find by going to the website listed below if it would work with a Mac.

i ended up running everything thru "switch"

it works good - 100% mac compatible and free - soo yeh, i've already ran a few movies thru it and them cut em down for the one liners i wanted as alerts, kinda time consuming and needs some free memory for the newly created mp3 but u jes trash it all at the end anyways =)
