im sure this should be easy but im running a macbook so all my file transfers are going thru my bluetooth and it keeps sending the files into my music on my enV touch.

can somebody plz direct me in the right direction??  thnx

maybe im not wording this right...

i would like to use mp3 files currently on my computer (a mac utilizing bluetooth) as ringtones on my new phone (the enV touch)

but when i retrieve files from my computer (mp3 format), they go directly into my music where i am unable to assign them as ringtones or alerts... but if there is a way to bring the same files into my sounds i would be able to assign them wherever (ringtones, alerts, etc)... does that help someone that may have the answer but just been confused about what i was asking before??

Send an email with the mp3 attached to yournumber@vzwpix.com THis will send it as a picture message where you can save the sound and it will end up in my sounds.

thnx for the response ice, i got pretty excited and tried to attach the mp3 to send a new potential ringtone out to my mobile jes as u said, but the email was returned by the MAILER DAEMON with the following message:

"Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Sorry. Although I'm listed as a best-preference MX or A for that host,

so u think this might be because its a yahoo account or possibly because the phone number was only assigned yesterday?? im jes tryin to throw out possible reasons for the undeliverable email... ?  any other ideas, im kinda stuck

OHHHHHH !!! with an X instead of a CS, nice - good catch man.  thnx, imma try this again

....so i sent it last night after seeing this - prolly around 11 pm - but i still havent received anything to my touch.  How long does it usually to take to arrive in your phone??  n where should i be looking - incoming picture messages??

I would try to send it again, They usually come through pretty quickly depending on how often your email provider/account sends messages. It will come in as a new picture message, like if I were to take a picture and send it to you from a phone. I have noticed that hotmail seems to be hit or miss, but when it fails it will give you a failure message. Hope you get it to work!

yeh it never arrived that first time, so i jes shot it over again, n I GOT THAT !!! =D
thnx for the insight and the response ice - i was gettin a lil frustrated but no more, imma start havin some fun now, thnx again
