Ran across this on another site... lotsa good stuff.

http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper_beta/downloads/downloads/mobile_devices/800x480/

Feel free to suggest any other sites you've run across; like a 480x800 site for example.

And, by the way, there's options there somewhere to download MUCH higher resolution pics of these over 500 images if you see something you like for your other internets device.

I saw that pic and I had to have it.

Also, I'm originally from near NYC (in NJ).  Even though I don't live in NJ anymore, opening up my phone and seeing that pic makes me feel at home a little.  Cheesy

Those are some great pics.

Does anyone know where to find some cool pics for the external screen? Thanks!

A friend of mine has a larger version of that NYC bg on his media center pc that's hooked up to a 60-something inch tv. You should see the image in THAT resolution  Tongue

Of course I got the one for my phone and now he's jealous. He has a Touch as well, so I'll send him the link...but I might make him sweat it out a bit first...muahaha...

If you have something you'd like resized, I'm sure someone in the other wallpaper request threads will take care of that. Myself, I have Photoshop, but not here at work.

I've found many external screens by just doing an advanced Google image search by image size. Try Googling this phrase:

art imagesize:480x800

and then click 'images' and see what you get. I can't find a way to search ALL 480x800 images, so in the example above, I used the word art. Substitute art for whatever you think you might be looking for and you might hit the jackpot.

Well it is Google. Try getting more creative in the search terms and you are bound to find something. If I get some time at work next week maybe I'll see what other search engines offer in terms of searching by size.

Also, when discussing picture and video ratios, the first set of numbers is always the width, and the second is always the height. You can remember that by thinking of 16:9 HDTVs - you certainly wouldn't want to get stuck with a 9:16 HDTV!
