Ya... I got that Liberty5Jeep.... my question was... how to import your own ringtones and then assign them as ringtones, without having an SD card. E-mailing them to the phone worked perfectly. When you do that.. they automatically come in under Call Ringtones and then can easily be assigned.

Bitpim will transfer your own ringtones to your phone and then you can assign them. E-mailing them to your phone has the same effect. Once again, maybe I missed the difference.

I have checked out www.mytinyphone.com and it would appear that it is a good site gor free stuff. It says that I can get a ringtone or a wallpaper sent directly to my phone. I don't have the email service through VZW, so I can't get it that way. I have the VCast mobile web and texting though. Can anyone tell me if I will get charged extra for the wallpapers and tones being sent directly from the sight (not via email)?

Limewire? Why would you recommend that chunk of funky code? I don't mean to preach against piracy - I've been doing that for years - but how does anybody settle on Limewire. Not sure what the forum rules are about advising people how to steal songs, but there are about a half-dozen ways to get music that are 1) safer (security wise), 2) and are at least as likely (if not more so) to get you the music you want and download it faster. For those who are using audacity, you might as well simply use its record-streaming audio to record music streaming from sites like YouTube, LastFM or internet radio stations.

another great website for free ringtones is www.brinked.com, you find a song you like and right click on mp3, save target as (it will give you a number but i recomend replacing that with the title of the song so you don't loose track of which one it was) then send it to your phone by e-mail yournumber@vzwpix.com. it's a great place to get music ringtones and others or you can use there software to create your own from youtube videos, it's a little wierd at first but once you get use to it, it's like riding a bike, by the way you can only attach one file at a time, i tried doing several ringtones at once and it failed
