You have 10 additional themes installed simultaneously?  Or you are just swapping out between 10 different themes one at a time?

yeah, ive been using BitPim too, glad to see it works... (I used to mess with my Razr all the time!!  Tongue)

but do u think u can post links to the new themes you have found? and can you just add them to the phone, or do u have to replace the 2 that come on the env Touch?

well if you can provide me with a free way to upload them i will. i have a red theme, and i phone theme, 2 mario themes, jst words, reflections, and a couple more. i will upload them as a pack.
and i jst keep them on my computer and change them when i feel like it. it only takes a few moments with bit pim.

for those who are wondering how to do it here are the steps

1. download bit pim if you do not already have it.
2. install the drivers for the phone, they are easy to find.
3. open bit pim and search for phone, it shud say sumthing like cdma phone found on com5 or com 7.
4. go into the setting and edit them so you choose the phone as the voyager.
5. retrieve and view the file system.
6. go to flash, then ui, then menu.
7. make sure you save the topSclassType1Sub file first.
8. then rename the file you are replacing it with as topSclassType1Sub or it willl not work.
9. once you have saved and renamed you are going to overwrite it with the new file.
10. last but not least powercycle the phone and your new theme will be there!

sorry for the delayed response guys. let me know where to upload the themes

Does anybody know of the hack that you can do to make the Ringers louder? I thought I saw it somewhere but now I can't find it. You're supposed to set it up the same way you can do it on some other phone that's kinda like the Touch.

so, let's say bitpim doesnt work on launch...any ideas howto get custom ringtones onto this? ive been making my own and throwing them on my env for 2 years now and i rather enjoy it over a standard ring, since the env's ringers suck lol

I haven't tried it myself, but I think you can save your sounds/custom ringtons it to your phone via the USB Mass Storage option, save it to your "My Sounds" file and then set the file as your ringtone.
Yeah. OK, so that is a bust. Doesn't work. Any tips on something you've tried?

If you already have the tones you can use bitpim set as voyager etc. as has been previously discussed and place the tones in that way.  In addition, if you have your old env or probably any phone that is actually compatible with bitpim you can convert your songs and cut them to tone length while using bitpim with that phone and then copy the file back to your pc and then plug the touch in and transfer the tones in.

I use Audacity to turn the volume up on my ringtones before putting them onto my phone, but I have seen where some that have a higher bit rate, play louder.

not sure if this is allowed but the DUN hack is still doable.
It most definitely is doable.  In my opinion owning my phone is like owning my pc.  I can change the software/firmware on it however I want.  If VZW does not want us to be able to do it, they should make it so we cannot change it.  It's THEIR problem not ours!
