When I xfer files, pics and such between 'puter & phone I use bluetooth.  Fast enough for me.  Are your pics on a card?  A card
reader will work.

you could email the pics, just put them in a pic text and then send it to your email addy. to use bluetooth with a laptop, the lap top has to have bluetooth contectivity, if it does just pair the phone to it.

The only other option left is to use bitpim, but that would take a long time just to get a few pics.  Bluetooth for your laptop is cheep.  You can get one that is inserted into a usb port for less than $30.

A relatively cheap solution would be to buy a microSD card for <$15 (8 GB, Class 6), which will usually come w/ an SD adapter.  Then buy one of those $1 adapters often sold at MeritLine that can interface SD (or microSD) to USB.  I can post here if you want when I see a deal for such an adapter.

why would emailing take too long? I do it all the time when I don't have my data cable available, I do it from my pc to phone and vice versa and it is usually there in less than 30 secs. your best bet is to by an sd card as mentioned above.

After you connect the USB and select the data sync option, there is one additional step.  Select "settings" / "tools" / "USB Mass Storage".   Your SD card should then be visible on the laptop with its own drive letter.  After copying your files, remember to execute the "safely remove hardware" step on the laptop before "exiting" the phone's USB menu.

If this process is not successful for you, install the LG driver on the laptop.  It is available on LG's website.
