voice mail

How do you get the external screen to stay on when you dial voice mail or another number i.e. a pager that needs a number pushed. My external screen goes black when I make a call.

no problem!    every time I get a new phone I go to the settings menu and literally go to every single listing one by one and customize the heck out of it (obviously within the limits of each model).

Just my 2 cents on the voice mail screen. Even after getting the settings in the tools\settings etc correct- the screen seems to lag behind-I've read that there is a proximity sensor-and if you shake the phone slightly-it allows the sensor to re-activate the screen.
It now realizes it is no longer against your head! This was driving me crazy, since you need the external screen to delete or save a message without opening the phone to access the actual qwerty keys. Now if we can just figure out how to stop the New voicemail issuing a  re-alert after just listening to the voicemail without touching the keyboard. Annoying.
